Today I wanted to go back over the wonderful partnership I was lucky enough to make with Sarah and Grégory from the Serial Painters YouTube channel. They produced two tutorials inspired by my “Fairy mushrooms and darkness creatures” crowdfunding project, which was launched on the Kickstarter platform in April 2023.

For those who missed it, here’s what the project consisted of. It consisted of 60 figurines, terrain elements and small base decorations on the theme of mushrooms and forest creatures. All 3D printable and presupported. To complete the project, a scenario compatible with the Cypher system was written by Hectelyon, who also has a Youtube channel.

Serial Painters filmed a painting tutorial using one of my miniatures, as well as a video decorating the base.

I gave them the choice of model and they selected the Russula Trainer, a slightly humanoid mushroom riding a snail. I really liked the final result, which was both cute and creepy! Each step is well explained, so you’ll just need a little patience and practice to follow the tutorial. You can also get inspired and make your own little dioramas.
